Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market

I love a good farmers' market and being in the Bay Area means there are plenty to choose from. Just pick a day of the week and you can probably find one within a 10 mile radius of where you live. For us, gardening and shopping at farmers' markets are the best ways to get Evangeline to eat her fruits and veggies, particularly when it comes to trying new ones. So, whenever we get the chance, we try to make it out to visit a market. One of our family's favorites is in Marin. The Larkspur Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market is perfect for families with little ones and offers great produce, flowers, and yummy food. Plus they have pony rides.

From 9am to 2pm every Saturday, produce vendors set up shop alongside children's crafts and face painting stations and food trucks, while live entertainment fills the outdoor space. With your littles, head into the Westerlind Outdoor boutique for a giant red balloon and then make your way to the turtle and koi pond. After you shop at the bookstore and The Poppy Store for adorable and unique children's books, toys, and clothes, be sure to get in a little you-time and peruse through any one of the clothing or housewares boutiques. And don't forget to stop by the Johnny's Doughnuts truck for yummy doughnuts and Rustic Bakery for delicious baked goods and salads.

The next free Saturday you get, I recommend you take a drive out to Marin, meet and support some local farmers, and spend a full day together with your family at the lovely Marin Country Mart Farmers' Market.
